On March 29, 2019, the YHEST Realty and Development Corporation, a joint venture between the Yuson, Huang and Tan families of the Villa Abrille clan of Davao and Cebu Landmasters, Inc., has started the development of the P33-Billion Davao Global Township located in Barangay Matina Crossing in Talomo District. Held an official grand launch at the SMX, SM Lanang Premier with the Huang and Villa-Abrille Clan and real estate groups and personalities. Davao Global Township is their third and biggest project together with CLI. Their first project was MesaTierra, a garden residential condominium was already 98 percent sold-out while the second project is The Paragon Davao, a mixed-use property that will host Citadines Paragon Davao which was launched November last year.

The first phase covered 9.3 hectares of gross floor area out of the 22 hectares in total. The first phase is targeted for completion in 2022. It will feature a corporate center, two premier residential towers, an outdoor retail space called the DGT Town strip, and a civic center named DGT Gallery and a retail strip with a cineplex.

According to the CLI EVP and chief operating officer and YHEST director, Jose Franco Soberano said that “ he is assured that there will be more trees in the DGT and will be more environmentally sustainable than the former golf course and larger space”.
